Econo Lodge Alabaster wins hotel of the year award at 2016 Choice Hotels Asia-Pac Gold Awards

In Hobart, Australia,Choice Hotels Asia-Pac, one of Australia’s largest hotel franchise groups, has named Econo Lodge Alabaster as its ‘Econo Lodge’s Franchisee of the Year’ for its superior hospitality performance at the 2016 Choice Hotels Asia-Pac Franchisee Awards held last night in Hobart, Tasmania.

The prestigious award ceremony, saw Econo Lodge Alabaster beat other top-performing hotels from across Australia and New Zealand, and shine on the international stage.

Trent Fraser, Choice Hotels Asia-Pac Chief Executive Officer, announced Econo Lodge Alabaster as the winner in front of more than 240 guests and praised the extremely high level of quality and service exhibited by local staff.

“It is an incredible achievement for Econo Lodge Alabaster to win the Econo Lodge Franchisee of the Year Award and be recognised as the best in their brand for 2016,” Mr Fraser said.

To win the award, Econo Lodge Alabaster was required to receive consistently positive guest feedback and meet strict criteria relating to property development and growth, as well as demonstrating excellence in Choice Hotels’ training, sales, franchisor relations and marketing activities.

Each year, award-winning individuals and properties are judged by members from Choice Hotels Asia-Pac’s Senior Management team.
