Dave Andrews

He was born and bred in Singleton and can recall frequenting the club in his younger years.

“I remember using the gym and playing basketball and stuff,” Dave says.

Many in the community will already know him due to his long affiliation with the Singleton Strikers – firstly, as a handy player and more recently in the role as senior president.

Dave says his close ties with the Singleton sporting scene put him in good stead for this new position.

Keen to build on the strong foundation laid by others, the enthusiastic manager would like to introduce some new activities to the already long list.

He says while the PCYC is a hive of activity from around 3.30pm till 6.30pm, there is potential to make better use of the facility prior to this.

“I would like to see schools use the club for sporting activities during the day and I have been in contact with some of the schools talking to teachers,” Dave explains.

He has quite a few ideas, like running boxfit classes or teaching them some basketball skills.

“Getting young people active PCYC’s core belief,” Dave says.

“I am open to suggestions, so if someone has an idea but does not have a venue then they can contact me.”

Dave can be contacted on 6572 1653 or email him [email protected]论坛
